digital tuning, inc. is proud to introduce the KnockBOX™. The KnockBOX™ provides an easy way for 1st Gen (90-94) DSM owners to monitor engine vitals with or without a PocketLOGGER™ Datalogger. With its three LED displays, Knock, Timing, and O2 Voltage are just a glance away. Data is collected directly from the diagnostic port and displayed utilizing the latest in SMT technology as well as an 8-bit RISC microprocessor. No ECU harness to hack, simply wire it to power and plug it in. The small size, easy hookup, and ability to display information directly from the ECU make the KnockBOX the most valuable gauge in your car.
There are two configurations available. The SA (Stand-Alone) version plugs directly into the diagnostic port and does not need a PocketLOGGER cable. You cannot use both the KnockBOX and a PocketLOGGER with this version.
The PL (PocketLOGGER) version requires the use of a PocketLOGGER datalogger cable (not supplied). In this configuration, the KnockBOX cable will connect between your Palm's Hotsync cable and the PocketLOGGER data cable you already have. Without the Palm connected, the KnockBox will work stand-alone. You can also connect your Palm and the KnockBOX will transparently "listen in" on the data the PocketLOGGER is getting, without affecting* the operation of the PocketLOGGER.
* Sample rate is reduced if Knock, Timing, and O2 are not being collected by the PocketLOGGER.
